have any of you ever heard of the band collective soul? early 90's rock group? well, in case you didn't know, this band used to live a couple of streets away. as a matter of fact, my mom beat him up when they were in high school. true story. and now, ed roland, lead singer, has opened up a pawn shop (you may have seen it, he called it Ed's...so original...)
and now i am listening to REM, another fantastic band. although, if i do say so myself, they're lyrics are really redundant sometimes. if all you ever say is "this one goes out to the one i love," then that gets pretty old.
i have also been listening to folk music. it's really weird, but all of the sudden, i started listening to the voice and to the words, and it really touched me. that's never happened before...
thank God for some changes in life.
