the man

we went out to eat tonight. when we were almost finished and i was chewing on my ice, my dad saw a man walking in a tie dye shirt. he looked like any other walking man, so i thought nothing of it.

turns out this man has been walking from our town to forrest park since before i was born. his entire family died in a car accident, and all he ever does is go walking.

it sounds too dramatic to be true, but you never know. it makes me wonder what i would do if everybody i loved died. would i walk the world? or would i put on a face and act my way around it?

mom and dad fought tonight. my dad rarely ever yells. i was scared.

would i walk the world?

the six flags man

bottom of the ninth. score: 4 to 5, marlins are up. marlins are pitching. one man on third base, two outs. the hitter hits the ball, it flies, and...

he gets out, we lose. but it was pretty exciting. the highlight of the evening was when they played the six flags song (from the commercial with the old guy) over the speakers and they showed this one guy doing the actual dance (and it was dead on.)

i aspire to be just like that man one day.

after the game, we went to wendy's because it was one of the few places open at 11:30 at night. yes yes, spicy chicken sandwiches, yes yes. then we came home and watched the cat in the hat, until i passed out 10 minutes away from the ending. and we woke up in the morning and went swimming when it rained and came home and discussed horrible disney sequels.

the end.

simone/ braves game

alright, so there is this particular person who got me hooked onto this blogger thing. she is funny, she sounds smart(er) and she is nice. so nice, that i will put her site, simone007.blogspot.com, on here.

okay, now to today's news. the braves game, held at turner stadium, will be played against the florida marlins tonight. i have nosebleed tickets, not under any awning in case of a shower (probably needed by many of the ballgame goers). and the best part is, i am going with my two best friends in the world, who i haven't seen in a couple of months. it will be wonderful. as long as it doesn't rain.

except for certain people who request pepsi instead of coke like regular people. but that is beside the point.

i am being extremely annoyed right now by my elder brother, who assumes that he is better than the rest of the world. and to that, i reply, yes yes. you are better than everybody joey. that's why you have no job. because you are just sooo much better....

too much hostility and gambling.

sometimes i hate my mom as much as i hate my computer. or if i don't hate her then i really dislike her (i still hate my computer). a while ago, i went to her room door and asked when she was coming to the living room because i had to ask what we were taking in the cooler for the braves game tomorrow. i even asked her and she assured me that she would be upstairs in just a few minutes. a half hour later, i go back down there and ask again. "a little bit longer," was her reply. 10 minutes later, me more than perturbed, i go back down there and ask yet again, and yet again, she says, "just a few more minutes." 5 minutes later, when i was just to go and get her, she came up. she asked what i needed, and i told her, yet again. she said, "is that all you needed? why didn't you just tell me?"

hmm, i don't know mommy dearest, maybe i just felt like wasting an hour of my time to ask you these questions. yeah, that's it...

on a happier note, i almost beat chris at poker tonight. i had him until the river turned up. i had gone all in with a queen and a 3, and he with a king and a 3. the only card up until the last was a queen, but then the river (last card for those nonpoker players) turned up as a king. so horrible. (we were playing texas no limit, just so you know).

fish

peanut butter and jelly died this weekend. they both got caught in the ugly plastic tree. they died within a day of eachother. really weird.

but today, for the first time in forever, my mom bought goldfish crackers. i didn't eat them. we got them at walmart, where we spent an hour waiting in line at the register. i actually finished an entire crossword puzzle. too long, too long...

macarena is a cool song. they keep saying ," i am not trying to seduce you." it's awesome. i love it.
